TWO-OH-ONE-ONE

definitely an amazing year for me.

I'll show you how.

January

Went to Singapore with my dearest high school friends, it was a crazy escape! (For more please scroll down to the older posts)

Enrolled as a college student of Taylor's College Sri Hartamas. South Australian Matriculation was the choice. Orientation was on the 19th.

Celebrated my birthday with my girls days on the 14th @ Paddington house of pancakes. Went into the cinema for 18PL's movie without any fears for the first time. Thanks the girls for making time for me, it was the most complete gathering of the year. LOVE ♥

Surprise on my birthday. After home from college orientation, I received a call from Cathssy asking if I'm home. Looked outside, Xue Er and her were standing there with a bouquet of flowers. Their mission was accomplished, that's my first bouquet of flowers in my life, and my personal flower delivery service. Thank you Cathssy, Xue Er, Meng Hern and Si Shiong, it's so thoughtful of you guys ♥

February

Had reunion dinner @ my aunt's place. My mum's not cooking for the first time, cause the family was leaving to Thailand early in the morning on the next day.

First ever family trip overseas (yes I know there's no sea separating Malaysia and Thailand, but at least not traveling in Malaysia) during Chinese New Year. Chiang Mai was the destination. Had our footsteps printed on the land of Laos and Burma as well during the trip. Elephants are awesome!And less angpaus for CNY because of this! LOL

Had our first HB2 class thingy in college. Theme for the day was red, corresponding to Chinese New Year celebration. It was pretty awkward as we're not that close, but yes, closer after this.

Traffic light day @ college on Valentine's day. Green = single, Red = taken, Yellow = complicated. Can never forget how awkward it was when my male classmate came in with a shirt similar to mine. Epic.

Food hunting with the BFF on Valentine's day night @ Kota Damansara. Well, at least we didn't spend this day alone :)

March

Went back to school to get our SPM results. Satisfied with my results, met the teachers and friends again, felt great. Tears dropped not because of anything, but that particular subject.

Video-making and surprise party planning for Joee's birthday right after we got our results from school @ Desa Park City. Ditched and actually lied to her :P

Joee's surprise party on the 26th @ Windsor Tower, Sri Hartamas. The planning team ♥ hopes she had a great 18th birthday celebration :)

Second class thingy, with Taylor's uniform on. Taylor's-ambassadors-wannabe. Last day of March, the day when the college mates and staffs stared at us like mad. Fun experience, but definitely not doing again.

April

First lunch ever with all the girl classmates @ Canadian Pizza on the 15th, followed by Japanese ice-cream. Our first photo together ♥

Invited to high school's Hari Anugerah Cemerlang on the 23th for SPM results. The aim was to meet the friends and not forgetting, the money :P

Got to sit down and talk to my love ones after so long, like finally.

Attended Jog For Hope's committee interview and was selected to be the Head of Registration. Wasn't dare to think how busy it would be in the future, but challenge accepted. Massive meetings going on until the day of the event itself.

Failed birthday surprise for the April babies, Tine and Chloe. It was a steamboat night ;)

May

2 days 1 night family trip to Sepang Gold Coast on Labour Day. SUPER relaxing and awesome time spent @ Golden Palm Tree resorts.

TCSH's Teachers' Day on the 13th. The class got handmade flowers and cards for the teachers. Got to watch the movie "Billy Elliot" for the coming test.

Farewell for JPA's and Matric's scholars and 5K's class gathering on the 17th. Good luck to Kevin, Kai Yan and Caryn :)

Finally a date with my dearest cousie after soooooooooo long on the 29th. ♥

Farewell on the 29th for our beloved Miss Lim (form 3's science teacher, form 4 and 5's Chemistry teacher) who's marrying to Taiwan.

June

The 3rd. Planned to surprise Yanni for her birthday but his brother failed us. Had dinner @ Delicious, Bangsar :)

Promotion for Jog For Hope @ Putrajaya. Drove so far for the first time, and I led the team. Fun experience.

Made a video for Moral presentation and we think it's awesome :)

The remaining of it was about mid-year exam.

July

Biology trip to Taman Pertanian, Selangor. Can never forget walking for more than 5 hours in the jungle. Great bonding session ;)

Got to watch the movie, "Avatar" for the coming test in class again.

Pre-preparations for Jog For Hope, the 14th.

Goodie bags packing, definitely a fun and unforgettable experience! Spent our night packing around 1500 goodie bags on the 15th. Left college at 11pm.

Spent our Saturday at college to get everything ready, overnight. This stack of papers are NOT all the registration forms yet. It's not easy to key in all, I can tell, like seriously. Still keying in participants' info on the 16th's midnight, few hours before the 17th!

17th. I was lucky that I still got to take a power nap, cause registering 1400+ participants was CRAZY!

After the post- meeting, Jog For Hope was officially over. The team managed to raise 20K for both Pink Triangle and Malaysia's Nature Society in just 2 months time! Incredibly AWESOME! Kudos to the team (Not all in in this pic)

Birthday surprise for the forever kind lady, Xing Ti. Celebrated her birthday @ Murni :)

SAM Charity Festival on the 29th. Our class was selling Chocolate Fondue! Yummylicious! For a good cause, why not?

August

Lucky enough to be a movie extra in Jack Neo's upcoming movie, "We Not Naughty" filmed in Taylor's Lakeside. Met the director, and our teenage idols ♥ It was in our wish list to meet them! #lifetimexperience

Followed the guys out for KFC on a random Friday for lunch during our 2-hours-break!

A very simple birthday celebration for Amei on the 26th. Just three of us ♥

Raya + National day 3 days 2 nights family trip to Kuantan. Gambang (not recommended), followed by Bukit Tinggi to end our trip.

September

Walking in college in traditional clothes was odd, but never when you do it in a big gang. It was Malaysia's Day celebration :) A whole-new experience!

SAM trial exams, experience sitting in the freaking cold exam hall for 3 hours for each paper.

Went to The Gardens for karaoke session right after our last paper on the 22nd.

Pleasant lunch with the girls @ Publika, Solaris Dutamas on the 30th :)

October

Been going in and out of the lab from the 3rd to 7th. Busy preparing for Young Mind Conference's exhibition. Our group (Pat, Khai Zhin, Mena and me) was doing esterification experiment to get cherry-flavoured perfume. The chemicals were so strong that the lab, and us stink. We smelled like shyt, seriously.

Was chosen to be a part of committee for Young Mind Conference which was held on the 7th.

Another Canadian Pizza date with the girls before college ends.

The whole class went to Segambut to have seafood mee on the 13th. Historical moment!

TCSH's blackout day on the 18th. We earned a day off! Went to One Mont Kiara to have Japanese food with the classmates since it's the last week of college.

21st, last day of college. Lunch with our beloved mentor, Miss Koh and physics teacher, Miss Phua. That marked our last day spent in college together.

Mum's birthday celebration on the 26th @ Italiannies, The Curve. The siblings' treat :)

November

SAM final exams from the 1st to 9th.

Dinner with Miss Koh on the 9th. Lovely night :)

The girls stayed over at my place after dinner. Movie and some craps!

Karaoke session on the 10th, brunch and dinner together before we bit goodbye to each other. It was also a tiny farewell for Zhen Xiang who's going back to Kuching. Tears were rolling in my eyes when I was driving home alone after dropping them at night. That was when I thought that it might be the last time meeting all of them again ;')

26th, last day of working. Loving my 28 days working experience, because I got to see and meet different types of people, and no longer feel reluctant to approach people. The important thing is I met the right people to work with :)

31st, last day of 2011. Spent the night with the bunch of buddies. Awesome music blasting, alcohol was the booster, splendid fireworks welcoming 2012. The most important thing was we were spending our last night of 2011 and began our 2012 with the right bunch of awesome people ;) Awesome party we had!

My 2011 was simply AWESOME, how about yours? :)

Thank you to the family, the old friends, the new friends, the new people I met and the one reading this, for making my 2011 such wonderful ♥

2011 was awesome, but I believe 2012 will be even MORE awesome.

Now I can look back at 2011 without any regrets. CHEERS!

Crazy Escape to Singapore Part III

8th of Jan, 2011 (Saturday)

Last day in Singapore.

Headed and shopped in Bugis Street right after the breakfast. Bugis Street is probably the best place that you can get goodies for low prices in Singapore - just nice for us.

The weather was HOT like mad that day, plus our legs were too tired to walk, so we walked to the nearest shopping centre to chill.

On the phone with the guys asking them to join us after they're done with their shopping.

Place for lunch :)

This restaurant was located right beside the escalator connected to cinema. Guess what we did after finishing our lunch? We got to watch movies for FREE - only for hugging & kissing scenes. Practically, 10 of us were looking (staring, I suppose) at the couples going up and coming down from the cinema for like, 1 hour. You know what, 8 out of 10 couples were hugging/kissing. I'm serious. Some of them went really awkward when they saw us looking at them kissing (sorry if you're reading this =P). Just imagine 10 pairs of eyes looking at you kissing with your girl/boyfriend........LOL! Something new & fresh & fun for us because we won't get to see this in Malaysia, so......pardon us!

After 1 hour of peeking, we went to Marina Bay since there's time left.

The Marina Baysand Hotel, so near yet so far. Why?
First, we went to the wrong way and waited at the bus stop for 20 minutes. Then, for everyone that we've asked, including bus drivers, nobody was able to tell us which bus/which way we should take, FTL. Time was rushing us, we had choice but to cancel our planning and headed back to hostel. EPIC FAILED! :(

7.25pm. We're almost late for the check-in. Once the train arrived to the terminal, we ran all the way to the counter without knowing which counter we should check-in at. Keat and I led the team like we're running for the champion of 100metres.

Ran straight to the counter and passed one of the passports to the receptionist. The time shown was 7.31pm, we're one minute late. Were sooooooooooooooo worried until the receptionist proceed with the procedure. THANKS GOD WE'RE STILL ABLE TO BOARD THE FLIGHT! Sigh of relief, seriously! Can't imagine what's going to happen if we're really late for the flight. Blame the addictive card game. -.-

Seriously, I don't know what the hell happened to us. First, we failed our planning to visit Marina Baysand Hotel. Then, we're almost late for the check-in. Third, Thongyen was sick. Owh well, it's just not our day. Big SIGH.

Anyway, at least, we're back in one piece =)

Behind the scene:
As you know, Hongshen has speedphobia and so he didn't join us for the first ride. After the first ride, 9 of us felt that it's a waste if he miss this ride because it's way to fun, and we wanted to give him a really memorable experience with us. SO, we began our plan - to convince him to join us for the second ride. We tried really hard to convince him by telling him
"This game is really really fun, you will regret if you miss this!" "It's not a high speed ride, no worries. Not scary one" etc etc.
Practically, we were just cheating him LMAO. And he got cheated. For this, I personally think that he should thank us for cheating on him because that's probably his first and also last time to get on rides like this XDD

Skyride.

Needa take this ride to go uphill for the Luge ride, so excited.

The night view up there was rather breathtaking.

The ugly but so-damn-cool photo!!! FYI, the camera was placed somewhere near the ending point, and your pic will be taken automatically when you pass by a certain point. So during the third ride, we've decided to take a group photo there. To acheive this mission-impossible, we had to wait for each other around 100m before the ending point. When everyone was there, we accelerated together, passed by the ending point and hence, this photo was taken.

This game is just too addictive that it got us to pay for 3 rides, not cheap thou. What to do? Because it's seriously AWESOME I tell you! The feeling of speeding was indescribable.

Hmmm it's not easy to control the car eg. you can't control with one hand, and the helmet would drop off anytime, just like what happened to me. First, I didn't tie the helmet tightly, when I was trying to adjust it, I tried to control with one hand, then I bang to the roadside LOL. Alright, most probably it's just applicable on me XD Yes, stupid I know HAHAHA.

Lesson of the day: Please wear your helmet properly if you don't want to be like me.

Headed back to Universal Studio for the fireworks at 9 o'clock.

Coll - ege

Feel so bad for not updating my blog as frequent as I used to. It's already 28th but this is only the 3rd post of the month, where is my enthusiasm in blogging? Singapore part II photos are up but I'm just not in the mood to blog. Hopefully I can get it done by this weekend? I have a lot more to blog, fml.

Oh yea, if you did stalk me (we called it CARE), I've started my college on the 19th :) Actually it was a sudden decision I made to join the Jan intake, all because I heard that March intake for pre-u programme is seriously killing, as everything will be like cramp together. As what the counsellor told us yesterday "At least you still have free time now, listening to the talks for these few days. But you will need to jog after Chinese New Year, whereas the March intake students will be running!" That's it.

It's my 7th day in college today, I'm glad that I joined the Jan intake because the lecturers had started frightening us by telling when are the exams/tests/presentations/assignments which really kill our brain cells because this is so gonna be part of our marks in the freaking important 70% internal assessment. The coming test falls somewhere on 3rd week of Feb, scared me like mad, seriously.

After one week of classes, I realized the serious problem that I'm having now, which I think need to be solved as soon as possible. I realized that I'm really bad in English. Taking English as Second Language is seriously a tough job for me. English was not a big problem for me before this but now, it's a subject that I needa worry. I don't have vocabulary of all kinds and sorts as what my classmates have, my vocab is like PMR standard compared to them. Can you imagine? It's a BIG no no to remain my standard if I want to get myself a place to stand in this college or even, society. Time to work harder.

Apart from the stress, I'm happy to meet so many awesome new friends :D We have 8 ladies and 9 gents in our class for now, everyone of them is so friendly and easy-going type of person. And yea, it's great to see those old friends again! :D Uh-ho, new friends please come to meeeeeeeeee! :D

Thanks God I'm in the same class with Chye Huey, Xing Ti the pity one is in different class but it's okay because she's too kind, so she has many new friends there :) Then, we will get to know each others' friends when we have lunch together. Great right? Talking about lunch, you need at least 5 bucks with you for one meal without drink. The food here is kinda expensive for where it is. For now, we are still exploring the place and still discovering cheap and nice food, more to go! =P

Hmmm am enjoying my college life now kinda much, for the new friends, good lecturers, facilitates etc, but not too much for the air-cond. Everyday, we have to dress up like if we are in the north pole, because it's like a little winter wonderland here. And we still need to get used to something new, which is the Internet-oriented system here, it's very convenient thou :) So basically everything is going well now, hope it will remain for the entire one year. Oh yea, it's great to have Xing Ti to car pool with me, it's great to go to college everyday with your bestie! Heh :DD

Crazy Escape to Singapore Part I

Our Singapore trip all started with a random chit-chat with the girls on a random Friday, after we've finished arranging tables for PMR candidates.

"Eh, where are we going for our trip? Must plan one." someone popped out with this.
"Yea! Let's go to Singapore, Universal Studio!"

Everyone agreed, so we kept an eye on the cheap flight tickets.

Flight tickets checked.
Hostel checked.
Schedule checked.

Backpack trip kicked off!

7 of us girls, gathered at Tine's house the night before because our flight time was 6.05am, and needa check in 2 hours before. Thanks Tine's dad for fetching us to LCCT in late night :D

While waiting for the guys' arrival, we were starving like crazy. Blame those shops in LCCT, they are supposed to open at 4 o'clock as what's written, but all of them only open at 5 o'clock. After starving for one hour, we finally settled down @ OldTown for breakfast. The guys then reached almost 2 hours later than us, almost late for the check in :O

Took MRT to Bugis Station to reach our hostel @ Little India. Bought EZ Link card (something like Touch N Go) cause MRT will be our only transport there and it's going to be very convenient for us. If you are going to Singapore like us, you are advised to get yourself the card, cause you don't have to queue so long to buy tickets and redeem the ticket deposit :D

The InnCrowd was where we stayed.

It's too early to check in, so we left our luggage there and walked to the nearest food court to hunt for breakfast, again.

We spent 2 hours at the reception/lobby before we're led to our room at 12pm. There, we grabbed a chance to take a nap. The lobby is very comfy, with sofa, bean bags relaxing zone, facilitated with TV, Nintendo Wii and you can go online with their computers for FREE! Love their facilities so much!

We stayed in the dorm which each dorm bed only cost us SGD 20 per night. Freaking cheap right! Time to show you our place, simple and clean!

Mirror mirror on the wall. It's located right beside the toilets, place to wash up and dress. Nice lighting.

After settled down everything, we headed to Sentosa.

It was raining, luckily we had 5 umbrellas for 10 of us.

All of us were too tired to walk because none of us had enough of sleep. So we hopped on to a shuttle bus.

Then we hopped off at the beach!! WOOHOOO, it has been so long since the last time we step on sands.

Right after the girl's group photo, the sky started to rain, again! Argh felt so bad because we just got to spend around 20 minutes at the beach only =(( We then walked under the rain and found way to get back to the train station.

Lunch @ Food Court, Vivo City. The food here taste okay, but slightly expensive compared to other food courts.

Chicken rice that I ordered, SGD 6. Expensive but it's in big portion that can be shared for 2, and taste quite okay. Stuffed after finishing half of it :D

It's not fun to hang out in Sentosa when it's raining, so we've decided to change our plan and went to Orchard Road instead. Sorry, not many photos taken there because I was dead tired and half asleep that time. I know this is ridiculous but, I was like a zombie, walking with no directions, and eyes were closed too I guess.

The friends were afraid that I might lost my way because I kept telling them "I'm daydreaming when I'm walking, and I don't know what am I talking about", so they actually pulled me with them. (P.S : Is it?) I think this really scared them LOL! I can only barely remember what happened there, felt so uncertain, but I know many funny things happened HAHA!

The story behind this pic - Tine and I both were very tired, so we thought it's better to keep ourselves awake by singing. So I started with 'I'm a Loner' by CN Blue and she sang along.

"Eh, I can still remember the lyrics man!" I said.
"Of course la, cause you love them so much" she replied.

Well, that's what I can remember - way to keep myself awake.

Another way to keep ourselves awake - eat ice cream.

Hokkaido Ice Cream. SGD 3.80 for one big scoop. I'm pretty sure about the price because Keat was trying to confuse me that time (half alseep mar) and I got it right :D

Only girls had ice cream. It was only half an hour after our lunch and we're supposed to feel very full but I don't know why, just felt like eating. And ice cream didn't help much in keeping me awake LOL.

I told ya that we're at Orchard Road right? But to be specific, we just went in to only ONE shopping centre, that was Takashimaya. 10 of us felt to tired to move, so we headed back to our hostel. HAHA stupid I know, but what to do? Anyway, we've learnt a lesson that we must have enough sleep the night before any trips. =X Suffer a lot!

Oh ya, and I found out that I can't remember anything that happened in the train on the way back. Buddies, what were I doing? I needa know TT

Time to get some rests and wash up.

So holiday feel right? :D

Keat was being so good for helping Joee with the bed sheet stuff.

Spent 2 hours chit-chatting in our dorm, and fyi, none of us had sleep although everyone was so freaking tired, especially yours truly. Crazy.

Dinner time but we had no idea where to eat, so we asked the hostel's receptionist and she showed us to this food court.

Indian food. Don't ask for name because we don't know =P but it tasted quite good.

Big portion too, so we shared.

Hang out at the lobby again after our dinner. It's just too comfy to spend our time there :D

Walked back to dorm at 10pm to prepare for tomorrow. There, we met the 2 japanese roommates :D We chatted only a little because we're not good in each other's language. And we actually invited them to join us for Universal Studio but they said they're moving out the dorm the next day, so they won't be able to join us. Anyway, we exchanged Twitter and ya, we are friends now :D It's nice meeting them thou because they're very friendly.

Joee was doing translation with the electronic dictionary.

iPhone was being so useful that time, to record their Japanese name @ Twitter ;D

Hello 2011, hello the first blog post of the year.

So sorry for leaving my blog dead for so long, I don't have any idea on what I should blog because my holidays are just too......plain and boring, apart from the Singapore trip :D Am going to blog about it once I get the photos kay, be patient!

Drove to Jusco after dropping my bro at Cekap. My main purpose there was to get YG magazine, because I really want the calender so much :((( but too bad I can't find any there. So went to Starbucks instead to get my Chocolate Chips Ice Blended that I've been craving for so long.

Time flies. It's already 31st of Dec today. Everything happened in the year 2010 was like just happened yesterday, everything is still fresh. It's quite hard to say goodbye to 2010 because it's going to take me a long time to start and get used to another chapter of my life - have to make big decisions. No matter how hard the new life would be, we still need to move on, and fight harder.

Class party last night with the loved one @ Tine's house. Frankly speaking, the main reason that we held this party was to clear our class fund LOLOLOL wtf. And to meet those long-lost friends & those who are going to National Service soon.

It's condominium! Opppps, I mean C O N D O M!

So far the most popular brand that produces high quality rubber sheath. LOL

The present was from this pervert.

JiaYao claimed that it was so tough to get this present, and the story is something like this. At first he went to Watson and asked where is the condom, then the staff asked him to get it from Jusco. When he asked the staff in Jusco, the person looked at him like O.O and asked him to get it from Guardian. When he was looking very hard for the condom, a staff came to him and asked "What are you looking for?". Without hesitating, he answered "I want a condom." To reduce the awkwardness, he continued "I want to play my friend only". Do you think the staff will agree with him? I would say no because there're so many of them out there using the same broken excuse alright, LOL!

This is not the end of the story. He then went to the store to get his 'present' wrapped. The person in charge didn't realise it's a condom at first, but when he was wrapping, he turned the box and there, he realised about this. I forgot how JiaYao described the reaction of the person in charge but the whole story really made us laugh our ass out!! Good job, JiaYao.

Shore I got from Yanni. Just wanted to get one for myself :D

Trial exam is finally over after suffering for one month, what a finally? But at the same time, SPM is approaching wtf. The last time I had been to shopping complex was one month ago, busy preparing for trial exam. So can you imagine how worse it could be if we're about to fight for SPM? So it's time to relax for a short while before the World War III begins. -.- thank you exam!

Went to 1U for the movie "Eat Pray Love" since I've dated my sis for the movie one week before the exam ends LOL.

The reason I'm putting 9.9 for the title is because everything I'm writting now was happened on 9.9.10. It's exactly one month later and now only I'm posting this, really FML. Blame the trial exam!!

Woooookay, so back to topic. Went to Starhill to have Jogoya as brunch. Yes, my second time there ;DDDD The first time was with the my scout teammates, and that was a BIG bunch. But there're only 7 of us that day, including Yanni's bro's friends.

Heh, before you start thinking that we're rich, let me tell you, there was HALF PRICE PROMOTION for VIP members. If you remember, I actually paid to become Gold Card member last time. So yea, must make use of the super expensive Gold Card rawr.

*Coughcough I think you might need a napkin now because photos will take over, like NOW!

Must eat food - lamb chop, mushroom soup, sushi. The Japanese grilled muachi at the left-down corner tasted good, it's enough to have a bite since it's quite greasy (腻).

Desserts - Tiramisu cake, Haagen Dazs ice-cream = all time favourite! I'm craving for them even since the day I had the first bite.

Good posers we are. Oh yea, so there're 4 of us that day ;DD

Steamboat action. We tried the Seafood Spicy Soup but just simply don't like it.
The 3 guys in the photo are Yanni's bro(right) and his friends. Gotta thank them for coming because we need at least 6 persons to get the discount gaga! Easy going type of persons so no problem of comunicating =)

Got her a surprise birthday celebration after the 30 Hour Famine. We lied to her that we'll be having our break-fast dinner there at D'Fortune, but then she realised something.I don't know why she can be so perasan (COUGH COUGH) that she asked "Eh, are you guys celebrating my birthday with me tonight?". That's no way to tell her that because who wants to fail this plan?! So we lied to her, again, that we're actually celebrating birthday with Amei, the coming birthday girl. Thanks God she believed it! When the waiter delivered the birthday cake with birthday song, then only she realised that we're actually celebrating for her. Noooooo, too bad she didn't cry =P

I was panic when the others started to call me in the train, I didn't know how to answer the call since she's not far from me, stupid right -.- Anyway, SMS saved my life LOL.

It was supposed to be our bedtime after the reflection session. But like what we always do, we don't sleep that early when we're in a camp. We seldom have chances like this to gather and talk in school, so we neglected and had bonding session at the main hall, gossiped about the Misai Girl.

Guys can be very 'geboh' (busy body) sometimes, look at Jianhong and Jiayao, they're concentrating! And the guard sitting behind was trying to understand what were we talking about but too bad, he fall asleep.

When we're still gossiping about the Misai Girl (too much to talk), someone came to our circle. He said he doesn't want to join us at first because he can't really understand Mandarin, but after that.................................

Guess who?

He claimed that he has a cullen's hands, so Marcus Cullen was our guest of the night!

Alright, he shared his experience with us, talked about his career and also something to do with our future. The campers looked so helpless, but in fact, I guess they enjoyed lots? Seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Marcus promised to dance after that but when he was trying to escape from the reality, the super smart media played SNSD's song, Gee for him! There's no way for him to escape, so he had to be 'guai guai' and dance along with the music.

So, that marked the ending of the 30 Hour Famine camp of the year 2010.

When you start complaining that you are poor because you don't have money to buy this and that, it's time for you to stop. You need to know how much the people in poor countries suffer and how the people who live in urban poverty lead their life in harsh conditions. We're already very wealthy and healthy compared to them; when they say they're poor, they don't have food, water, or even shelter. Can you imagine how are you going to live your life when you don't have basic things like these? And you want more than these? Learn to appreciate.

30 Hour Famine Part II

Famine Challenge 2 - Living in the Streets was the blast one, we had so much of fun during this game! As you can know from the name of this game, we need to find ways to earn money in other to survive. Each group are required to get 100 food points, which you can buy 1 food point at 5 bucks each. But getting 100 food points are NOT enough if you want to win in this game. All you need to do is earn as much money as you can! We thought it'd be very easy until the game is over.............

Task 1 : Make hats and clothes with newspapers. Lucky to have Kahchuah, Cathssy and Junwen who are expert in making hats ;D

Task 2 : Sleep in the 'park' during day time so that you won't get caught by the police. Our group went there quite early so we're in the first round!

The volunteer was marking down the time on our hand.

There we needa pretend to sleep for 5 minutes.

That's the fun part after the 1st and 2nd task, working time! There're few jobs available, legal works available 24 hours while illegal works at black market only available at night time. Wooots, night market was the boom, higher payment in shorter time! Anyway, since it's still day time, we worked legally.

Legal job 1 - Restaurant A. Memorise the name of the 5 dishes given by the 'customer' and 'report' to the 'boss' behind.

But before you can see the 'boss', you're required to spin with your head down for either 5 or 10 rounds (depends on the person incharge) then only you can make the order. You know right, one will get very dizzy after spinning especially when the stomach is empty. Smart you. When I was doing this job for the 4th time, I spinned and almost fell down fml -.- Blame the person incharge because she didn't count properly how many rounds I've done. Anyway, it's a quite fast and easy job, which you will get 10 bucks if you got all the 5 dishes correctly.

Legal job 2 - Restaurant B. Pass the order.

5 dishes name will be given to the first person, then the order is passed to the one behind and so on until the 8th person in that row. Same thing, you will get 10 bucks if you got it all right. But the problem is, you need to defeat the 'monkeys' who keep disturbing you by making noise. Guess how I defeat them? I shouted the names out loudly which I was not supposed to because I really beh tahan. And that's the time they should find ways to fight me back HAHAHA! We stand for justice, nothing can beat me ;DDD

Legal job 3 - The recycle room. You have 30 seconds to collect/snatch as many 500ml water bottles from the 'recyclable rubbish hill' (apala broken description) as you can!

30 seconds countdown in progress. Everyone so ganas looking for 500ml water bottles, all because they'll get 10 bucks for 4 water bottles. What so difficult about this, just be as ganas as you can XD

One thing special about this game was.........................there were gangster! And they're really 'gangster-ish', pretend to be onlyyyy HAHA.

The one with shades was the Dai Kah Jie. She and her gang forced people to become beggar and beg for money.

Do you know why Jiayao looked so happy even tough he was caught to be beggar? Because the Dai Kah Jie told him, "You're too lengzai, so you need to beg for 20 bucks!" LMAO. If I knew this earlier I would volunteer myself, good experience dey.

Night market, place to buy food points and sell dumpster. I always mix up black market with night market, blur sial. Btw, I wonder was there anyone who sold their pants, shoes and books ? LOL

Black market black market woohoooooo!! I've been waiting so long for this and yes, I went in WAHAHAHA.

The prostitute and gigolo corner. All you need to do is just spend your 3 minutes there reading article, sign and you'll get paid. 20 bucks for prostitute and 30 bucks for gigolo. Shumeen, Joee and I applied for this job, super funny. Anyway, I don't know understand why they pay higher for gigolo, not fair!!! LOL.

If you think it's so easy to earn so much money in such a short time, you're wrong! Police will crash in to black market anytime and you'll get caught ngek ngek!

Everyone was so scared that they actually hid under the table! But too bad it didn't help at all.

The girls who get caught because of drugs.

"Stick to the wall and raise your hands up!" the police shouted at us after we tried to escape. Escape plan failed zomggggg. Btw, Junwen, Kahchuah and me get caught this time because of drugs wth. The police was asking for money, and if we pay him, then we are allowed to go. But we really didn't have a single cent that time, so just let it be.

I didn't want to enter black market lor this time, there was another Dai Kah Jie who snatched my hat and forced me to go in T______T The worst part was Xingti was beside me that time but she didn't rescue me T_______T I can dai now! Sad sial. Urghhh, I really don't understand why every time when I'm doing illegal job, I will get caught, like FOR SURE! The same thing happened last year, speechless meeee *sobs

The police were doing their role very well too, after the gangster. They shouted at people, and gave them a damned face. The police ushered them to the jail after that, 100% strictly guarded I tell you! I was trying to escape by pretending to be a passer-by but the smart Indian, Nanda, I guess, spotted me -.- Stupid right.

Taaaadaaaaa, this was the jail. Crowded and messy sial.

You might be caught because of other reasons, such as,

We're caught by the police because of this, even though we were only waiting for our turn, haven't start working -.-

How we wished to be the same like them, sitting in the jail. But, our luck was that good, we're required to do something SPECIAL other than this,

to copy "DRUGS RUINED MY LIFE" for freaking 200 times seriously wthhhhhhhhhhhhh.

This was Junwen's copy, Kahchuah was the first to complete and I was the second. We spent around 15 minutes copying the same sentence, while looking at the people passed by. The police again, asked us whether do we have any money. I remember what I answered him was "Nevermind, we have time" because we didn't want the group to pay money for this, we need more money in order to win the game. But in fact, it's true because the game was going to end soon HAHA!

After everyone left for their beauty sleep, we disturbed Marcus for a while. From the minor conversation with him, we knew why he can speak and perform so well on the stage - Mass Comm and PR student he was =)

30 Hour Famine Part I

Was in 30-Hour Famine camp organised by Help University College on the 21st and 22nd. Good news for you readers, we've 4 cameras, which means more photos for you XD Credits to JunWen, Cathssy and Joee for the photos ;D

12 of us went over to Xingti's place before leaving to the campsite(? LOL), car-pooling heh, environment lovers we are! Anyway, thanks Xingti and Cathssy for the transport ;DD

Done registration, got our t-shirts and finally, we met our group leader, Tracy at the upper foyer. We're so afraid that we're going to be isolated at the upper foyer at first, because you can't really see what's going on down there, BUT, thanks God we were asked to move downstairs HAHAHA.

Theme of the year - Light up THEIR Life.

This is what people usually do when they attend a camp or event. Ya right, maybe just for us? LOL

Now, meet our group leader, Tracy in black! Glad that she didn't complain we're too hyper or crazy or whatsover, since we're really famous of doing crazy things. It's really nice to meet her ;D

After waiting for around 30 minutes, the event was finally kicked off!

Introducing you the emcees of the year, Marcus Tan on the left and Vin on the right. Marcus doing English speaking and Vin doing Mandarin translation. Yea, it's Marcus again after 1 year, it's really great to see him again ;D

Since there may be new faces in one group, get to know each other is a very important session, so, there came the Ice Breaker 1. Ya, no doubt that there're no new faces in our group, but there's where we had LOTS of FUN! LOL we played so hard and laughed so hard. Don't believe? Just take a look the photos below,

After laughing so hard*cough cough, time to activate our body cells under the sun, it's Famine Challenge 1 - Survive Past Five. All you need to do during this game is to listen to the instructions, understand and move.

I got a kinda poverty-stricken character. A girl named Johanne, lives in Haiti. I am only 2.2kg, I didn't get any vaccine when I was young, I have only a meal per day which consist of only carbohydrates, my mother faces malnutrition and therefore no breast feeding, I don't have clean water, my mother and I are not educated, I didn't get infected by Malaria, my father was died of AIDS, my mother doesn't work and I have to work.

I felt sad for this because what I have now are totally different from what Johanne is facing, and I can't imagine how am I going to make it if I were her.

Back to the game. So we're required to move either forward or backward from the yellow line, depends on the situations given. And how far you've moved is how bad/good your situation is.

Everyone was paying full attention to the instructions. And now, you can know how much differences between the poor and the rich one.

Everyone of us were given a sticker depends on respective situations after the game. As you can see from the photo above, there're 3 colours. Green indicates rich, yellow indicates moderate and red indicates the poor one. Despite, you can know from this figure, what and how many countries actually facing the problem of urben poverty. We should be glad that Malaysia is in green, and therefore, aprreciate what we have now and help the others after that.

Then, we had a short break. Then, all of us discussed and chosen what we think that are important to the poverty. I don't know why all the 5 choices that we've made were not the same with the chosen one. If you wonder, we had Love and Care for the 1st place.

Here's the results, 1. Clean water 2. Nutritious food 3. Environment 4. Love and care 5. Education. But still, we still think that love and care should be at the first place, because without love and care, nobody would be able to see all these problems and seek for cures. How do you think?

After some videos and talkings, Ice Breaker again! This time, we're required to take photos with the given instructions. It's like photo marathon because we ran all the way to seek for the places stated on the paper, and posed for the photos. Luckily Tracy is very healthy, she ran even faster than 10 of us haha. Tiring but fun game! xD Although I look very ugly in the photos, but for I posted here for your sake oh gosh. Hope you don't mind =P

Heh, after runing and exercising and sweating for so long, time to relax! Everyone was doing massage for each other ;DDDD Super loving scene.

We had Professor Fong, Tan Sri Lim, Dr Cat, xxx for the interview. Marcus as the moderator. LOL many farnee things happened throughout this interview which made us laughed alot, especially the call-in session. If you're interested, click HERE to watch. HOHOHOHO! I'm in a kinda nervous mood now. You know why? Because I'm going to 30 Hour Famine tomorrow at Help University College! FML this is not my first time leaving the home or attend activity like this, I don't understand why I have that kind of feeling, feel like very uncertain. Weirdo! Don't care don't care don't care I'm so gonna enjoy myself in this camp like what I did last year ;D Hmm, hope that I can meet new people or new friends this time although I'm not socialise kind of people. But it's fun meeting new people =)

14th August 2010, not a special day for either you or me. I'm sorry because I have to wake you up, there are only 5 more weeks to go before trail exam and 90 days before the real SPM exam. I'm sure you are not able to finish everything if you haven't start doing revision now. So little time yet so many things to study, do you think you have enough time to prepare for that? Or, do you need some tips for your study? Heh, I hope the following tips would help out!

Efficient ways to improve memory,

1. Pay 100% attention.
In order for information to move from short-term memory into long-term memory, you need to actively attend to this information. Try to study in a place free of distractions such as television, music and other diversions.

2. Avoid marathon session.
Research has shown that students who study regularly remember the material far better that those did all of their studying in one marathon session.

3. Get quality sleep.
In humans, sleep is necessary for memory consolidation. Sleep disorders like insomnia and sleep apnea leave you tired and unable to concentrate during the day. Maybe you can take a nap when you feel tired. But remember, a half-an-hour-nap will do.

4. DO it.
Read out loud what you want to remember. If you can recite it rhythmically, better still. The physical act of rewriting information can help imprint it onto your brain. If it's a procedure or action you need to remember, do it. Do it several times. The act of "doing" is a separate mental pathway that you create.

5. Repeat.
Repetition helps you to hold information in your short term memeory as your working memory organizes and integrates it into long term memory.

These 5 steps are the ways that I found quite useful and effective in this time especially when we do not have much time left. OH YA, the most effective one is,

Keep yourself away from the computer!

You, yes you, the one sitting right in front of the computer. Remember, DO NOT give any reason/excuse to face the computer when it is not necessary, because sitting in front of the computer really kills time, VERY fast. Now, move your mouse to the right and click on the 'X' button. I repeat, 5 more weeks to trail exam and 90 days to SPM....................

No pain no gain.

FYI, if you remember (only if you're a super huge fan of him), there was something like fan meeting to promote his 6th album entitled 'Fan Zhuan Di Qiu'. Credit goes to....................my sis again because I didn't know how she got the ticket and we got the chance to catch him in live!

Like what typical fan usually do, I bought his album just to get the chance to go up to the stage to get his signature, and shake hand with him. Shake hand wtf, so excited can! I still remember I actually held his hand for quite long, around 5 seconds I guess, and told him I will support him no matter what (no, I break the promise xD). My heart almost melted when he replied me with a bright charming smile LOL, so handsomeeeeeeee! Eh, that's me last time when I was crazy over him, not now, kay ;D Anyway, I guess the fan now seldom get chance like this anymore, envy of me, do you? Haha.

It's me at the age of 13. Looked so kiddy can! But I guess I still look the same now right? Some of the uncles and aunties even thought I'm in Form 3 now, waturf. Wooots! Wonder how I get the tickets? Heh, credits go to my dearie sis. Reached Sunway Lagoon at 5 something and when we were about to step out from the building to queue up in the very loooooooooooong line, it started to rain. NO, it's no way to leave eventhough it's raining, because everyone was still lining up under the rain! So, we got ourselves a raincoat and lined up. It was kinda fun standing under the rain thou. Not to mention those brainless people who cut queue, totally freaked out.

But the organiser just made an announcement that WonderGirls will be performing again after Katy Perry!! Woots. I personally think that the reason WG came out for the so called "special stage" was because the filming of their song before that was not too good, that's why. Anyway, it's great because 50% of crowds left after Katy Perry, and hooray because I got nearer to the stage to catch the 5 pretty girls!

'Nobody' once more!

That marked the ending of the MTV WorldStage 2010. For me, overall, it's kinda boring and it's not worth waiting under the rain and standing for so long. I would rate it 2/5. Why?

It was raining non-stop from 5pm to 12am.
My umbrella had been confiscated by the security -.-
They took 30-45 minutes to set up before each performance.
They kept repeating the advertisement of the sponsors MANY times until everyone started 'buuuuuuuuu-ing'.
The VJ kept cheating us that the performance is going to start.
Tired standing under the rain, almost exhausted.
WAITING IS EVERYTHING I dislike about the event.

Anyway, the 2 points I rated are for Wonder Girls, Katy Perry, great songs from Tokio Hotel and free tickets, that's all. I hope there'll be improvements the years after this because I would like to attend again if it's a well-managed one. Alright, that's just my personal opinion, maybe just because I'm not too crazy over the idols?
